Should set the new flag for News/Newsgroup messages:

1)Subscribed a new server & newsgroup.
2)Post news on the newsgroup which you already subscribed.
3)Select "Get Msg".
4)Check the newsgroup new post message's flag.
5)Actual Result: Did not display "new" flag for the new news' posting message

Expected result: Sould display "new" flag for the new news' posting message.

Why today's commercial build displayed the fix on the IMAP messages, but not
display on the "News"?

I don't know -news is working fine for me; new messages have the new status in
the status column

I don't see it either, David, for a news message.  IMAP msgs are fine.  On
today's Win32 commercial build.

I downloaded, installed, and ran today's commercial build. It worked fine re the
"new" flag for newly downloaded message headers. I suspect some confusion on
your part when the new flag should get set - it's only set for newly downloaded,
unread news messages.

Only news messages with Re: were getting the new flag set. That's fixed now.
Sorry 'bout that. All the messages I looked at had Re:

OK. I need to reopen this bug....since problem is still existing on the new
"news" message.

I checked in a fix a couple hours ago, only messages with Re: were getting the
new flag set.

How about the new posting message since you said that the fix only apply on
news messages with Re:?

In today's build, new news messages with Re: subjects would have the new flag
set correctly. New news messages without a subject starting with "Re:" would not
have the new flag set at all.

Used latest 2000-13-15-M13 WinNT commercial build:
Great!! It seems that you fix "News" messages for both new message & Re:message
now....will verify on Linux & Mac once we get the latest better build.

Verified on Mac 2000-01-14-15-M13 commercial build.
New flag is displaying on Mac for "News" messages on both new message &
Re:message now....still wait for better Linux build to verify.

New flag is displaying on Linux for "News" messages on both new message &
