Similar to bug 75866. When I use the keyboard to open a different mail folder in the three-pane window, Mozilla Mail opens each folder I step on with the up or down arrow key. This can take a longish time, and scrolling to a far-away folder this way is very annoying. I would like there to be a short delay from highlighting a folder's name to actually opening it. The delay should be longer that the keyboard's delay before repeating, but not much longer than that - I'd say 1.5 seconds. (It can be configurable but I don't insist on that.) The delay should _not_ apply when one clicks a folder name with the mouse.
