Hey,
I hope these aren't already in the latest thunderbird/mozilla-mail ..although I
think I have the latest stable (thunderbird).
1) I use aliases. If I want to send an email with in the from-field an
alias-name .... I need to make a new account in thunderbird. It would eb great
if I could define in the preferences of an email-account, my aliases. Now I need
to make an additional account which is a solution, but I don't want an extra
one. For now, I just made a fake one to be able to use my alias-name in the
from-field.
2) This is actually more about the filtering of mails ... but I can only define
one component... I filter incoming emails on the handy rule "sender/cc is in
personal address book". Really handy and dynamic, but not enough :). Why? In my
addressbook, I made subfolders in my peronal folder: friends, family, ... It
would be great if I could create a filter that can also choose a subfolder of my
addressbook instead of only the toplevel ones ...anyway I tried it for
subfolders of my personal folder an they didn't show up as a possibility in the
filter-dialog, only personal folder and the other 2 folders(toplevel) I have.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

As to the first suggestion, there is already kind of what you want in recent
builds, though there is no UI for this yet.
I don't know about your second suggestion.
However, please report only one bug per bug report. I am resolving this as
invalid because there are already two suggestions. And make sure to search for
dupes before entering a new bug.
