WFM - 6 hours old CVS based firefox build. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040309 Firefox/0.8.0+
I also get no scrollbars at all when using the latest download as found by Firefox installer 0.8. I'm running Windows 2000 professional, no themes.
Does it work if you create a new profile?

Starting with a new profile worked once, and the scrollbars came back yesterday. Today that didn't work--no scrollbars today.

So you get no scrollbars, after you did a clean installation (removed old firefox), creted a new profile and had no extensions enabled?
Tried some more systems: 1. Win 2k sp4: everything works fine after removing the old firebird and rebooting. 2. Win 98 SE: everything works fine after removing the old firebird. 3. Win 98: everything works fine after removing the old firebird. 4. Win 98 SE: problems continue. sometimes there are scroll bars, sometimes they only appear if you reload the page, sometimes they don't appear... (no clear pattern) 5. Win 2k sp2: everything works fine after removing the old firebird. 6. Win XP: everything works fine after removing the old firebird.
I had the exact same problem on the latest on on Win98. I changed to ther default theme and it fixed it. Maybe installing a new one should always revert to a default them?
Is this still an issue?
If you create a profile and you don't install any themes at all, can you still reproduce this?
With Firefox 0.9, I don't see this problem.
So, can anyone reproduce this with a nightly build and a fresh profile? If not, then please close this bug
