Mousewheel prefs panel needs per-platform modifications
The mousewheel prefs panel currently refers to modifier keys which are PC- specific (specifically, the Alt key). This needs to be changed (probably with platform overlays, or different DTD entries) to use platform-specific names for the modifier keys. On Mac, the modifier keys are Shift, Option (==alt) and Control. There is also the Command key. Code-level changes may need to be made to handle the command key modifier.
What I'm currently planning to do (as dicussed with mcafee) is change to having a select widget with a list of modifier keys, which will vary by platform, and have that cause the correct set of prefs to be displayed.
Marking M14- it might be done before then though. It's not a usability issue at this point because mousewheel on Mac is nonfunctional because of other problems (see bug 7347). But, changing the pref layout would make the panel a lot cleaner.
reassigning qa contact to janc, who now works with the mouse wheel.
