IMO, the metal them for Camino just plain looks/works better, particularly with
the recently landed icon set.
To make Camino with a metal theme without much fuss or muss, follow these
instructions (swiped from the Camino Mozillazine forum). You'll need the Mac OS
X Developer Tools installed on your machine before you begin. Thank you, poster!
"* Ok what you will need to do is rightclick (control-click) on the
application then select 'Show package contents.'
* Now go to Content/Resources/English.lproj/ (I suggest column view it makes
things easier)
* Now open the file BrowserWindow.nib which should open in Interface builder.
* Now the easy part. Select the item called Browser.
* Now you need to open the info window by hitting command(apple)+shift+i
this should open a window with some settings that says "BrowserWindow Info"
* Check that it says attributes in the dropdown. If so you should see a
checkbox that says "Has Texture". Click that checkbox and now if you open the
browserwindow you should see it has taken on a metal appearance.
* Now finally just save the work you have done and close Interface Builder.
You now have a Metal Camino.
