To see realy unread messages you need swtich to "all" and the back. Second Problem is that this option will stay unchanged during the switching of your account. That's annoying. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I am unable to reproduce the symptom of having the MailView set to 'Unread', going to a newsgroup and seeing both read and unread messages. Bug 217329 was somewhat similar to that, but that's been fixed for a while. Regarding whether the MailView should reset to 'All' on switching to another folder, see bug 237165.
(In reply to comment #1) > I am unable to reproduce the symptom of having the MailView set to 'Unread', > going to a newsgroup and seeing both read and unread messages. Bug 217329 was Do i need send a snapshot to you with this bug? The same thing with 1.6 and 1.7a > Regarding whether the MailView should reset to 'All' on switching to another > folder, see bug 237165. Not correct. MailView should _store_ the last state for Mail or Newsgroup acoount. I mean, if i see all mails then switch to news and see only unread then i can go back and see again all mails. I suppose it was so for some time...
