This is a regression, before bug 236973, only the left half of domi was 
unreadable, now half of the right half is too.

Very interesting.

(1) Using the desktop scheme in steps 1 and 2 of testcase, I only see this bug
in the classic theme.  It is not present in the modern Mozilla theme.

(2) mail/news is not required to reproduce this bug.  CTRL+SHIFT+I on this bug
page will do nicely.

I think we should try to get this regression fixed for 1.7.  I'd've created a
patch myself by now, except I'm not sure how to code the correct solution in CSS.

I don't think we'd block the release of 1.7 for a edge case DOM Inspector
accessibility problem with a workaround (modern theme). If someone comes up with
a patch, please request approval and drivers will consider it for inclusion in
the release.
