User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316

When visiting several sites, include http://news.com and http://www.bestbuy.com,
an "Entry Point Not Found" dialog appears while the page is loading with the error:

The procedure entry point ??0NS_ConvertUTF16toUTF8@@QAE@PBG@Z could not be found
in dynamic link library xpcom.dll.

Clicking ok allows Mozilla to continue, and there does not appear to be any
other affect. Usually, most of the page has rendered, and sometimes the dialog
will appear multiple times, I suspect due to different parts of the page needing
to do the translation implied in the message.

Rebooting Windows does not seem to have any affect.

Hitting reload will also reproduce the problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to http://news.com
2.
3.

Actual Results:
Error dialg appears as page is rendered.

Expected Results:
No error dialog should appear.

This started to appear immediately after installing 1.7 Beta. Did NOT appear in 1.6.
How did you install, exactly (step by step, please)? It sounds like you have
stale libraries lying about in your mozilla folder that shouldn't be there...
Installed using the downloaded installer with Talkback from mozilla.com.
Ran the installer (with Mozilla shutdown) and installed the program in the
existing directory. No errors during installation were reported.
> and installed the program in the existing directory

OK.... What extensions to your previous install did you have installed?
Please see Bug 240336 for a solution.
