Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-ca) AppleWebKit/124 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/125.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316

I suggest a change in the way the Navigation Toolbar collapses when tabs are displayed.

Rather than leaving a narrow horizontal bar, Mozilla should add the little 'uncollapse' triangle (widget?)
to the left-side of the tabs toolbar.

The thin horizontal bar is an irritating waste of screen space which serves *no* purpose other than to
act as a place-holder for the Navigation Toolbar.

It would also be nice if the Mac build of Mozilla would adhere to the GUI convention for dealing with the
"hide toolbar" widget (top right hand "button" on all window bars) and not treat the tab area as a
toolbar and hide it!!! ... though, I suppose this is a separate issue (I left feedback on this once before)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Collapse Navigation Toolbar when tabs are visible
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Thin, horizontal place holder was left for the navigation toolbar (as expected by historical behavior in
Netscape/Mozilla but not by logical GUI design).

Expected Results:
Added a little triangle to the left of the tab bar to save space and left out the horizontal place holder
wasting space!!!

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
