It would be nice if you could do multiple selections (in the <SELECT MULTIPLE>
element) without using the keyboard (the ctrl key).
This is currently only possible for contiguous options, if you hold down mouse
button and drag. But if you repeat the procedure in a different segment, the
previous selection would be cleared, natually.

What about any of these alternatives:
- middle-clicking would select an option without clearing existing ones.
- a context to every OPTION element that holds "select" or "unselect" depending
on current state (might also be a checked item).

Steps to Reproduce:
In fact, it might even be worth to discuss abondoning the clear-on-click
behaviour. I assume its only point is to allow convenient clearing?
But then why not put "Clear selections" in a context menu then?
It should work with modern keyboards too, that have the "context menu key" to
the lower right.

I couldn't find anything in that bug about form elements which is what this is
about.
Maybe the summary isn't distinct enough, but it could be found in the first row
of the description, also hinted by the Component field.
It looks very much that I can reopen this bug, thus doing so.

Right...seems it's rather a duplicate of bug 52004.
BTW: If i don't remember wrong, this is fully possible on old Netscape on IRIX.
No funny stuff - just a single click that selects, wherever. A next click on
same item de-selects again. Those were the days..
