User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 Each forum has lots of categories. When I scroll down 3 pages and enter the categorie i like. Lets say categorie "HH". A browser hopefully remembered where it came from. IE does :) But when i use the back button in Mozilla, it then jumps one page back and went to the start of the beginpage categorie "AA". Result: I have to scroll down (again) 3 pages to select the next categorie "KK" and i have to repeat that for each categorie. After the 5th categorie it begin to get annoying. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. http://www.htforum.nl/yabbse/index.php 2. scroll to "nieuwtjes op pc gebied" (3 or 4 pages down) 3. click on it to enter the categorie 4. use the backbutton. 5. goto the next categorie "Algemene vragen over Pc's" 6. do that 10 times :-) nice he? Actual Results: i was by categorie "over this board" (3 or 4 pages scrolled to far back) Expected Results: Stopped on bookmark "nieuwtjes op pc gebied"

it may not sound like a big bug. But if 75% of your surfing is on forums then it is very annoying.

This has nothing to do with bookmarks.

rene: what makes you think this is a duplicate of 217120? afaik, the exact bug hasn't even been determined, yet. there could be a number of different bugs causing this bad behavior. maybe a metabug can be made to track all the different "back button doesn't go back to same place" bugs, but duping this bug on the ebay.com bug doesn't seem like a good idea....

I see the same problem with my Linux build. Should the OS be changed to "All"? Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040616 Firefox/0.8.0+ (daihard: P4/SSE-2)

I can confirm that this is a bug in Mozilla Firefox 0.9.2, and that it is indeed very annoying when you're browsing forums.

It seems to work for me now, using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a4) Gecko/20040915 Firefox/0.9.1+ I bet the fix for bug 217120 also fixed this bug.
