User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-AT; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 MultiZilla/1.6.2.0c Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-AT; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316 MultiZilla/1.6.2.0c Mozilla 1.7b closes both left tabs if two are available and you close one of them. You have to create a new Tab to surf on. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Page 1 2. Open Page 2 in a new Tab 3. Close Tab with Page 2 Actual Results: Both Tabs get closed, this is a problem because without Expected Results: Simply close one window.
I can't reproduce this with 1.7a on FreeBSD.
It is in Mozilla 1.7b on WinXP and (as far as i see) only if "Hide Tabbar when only one tab is open" is set as property.
So when you close tab 2 all tabs disappear AND the content of tab 1 disapears or just the tabs. If just the tabs disapear then that is what is suppose to happen when "Hide Tabbar when only one tab is open" is checked. If the content of tab 1 also disappears try a build without any extensions.
Confirming, i sometimes see this with a recent build in Mozilla. Maybe this is a regression, but i'm not sure. OS is Windows 2000.

Ever confirmed: true
BTW: I used the Tab Close Button on the right side of the Tab Bar to close the tab (i don't think you can reproduce this with Ctrl+W).
