This problem appears when I compose e-mail in the ATT webmail window, and also
when I work off-line and write or edit. It also appears when I enter an URL.
I have a blinking vertical line as cursor. Very often - most of the time - the
cursor disappears after sometimes only two or three seconds, sometimes after as
much as 20 seconds. Hitting any key restores the cursor, but also enters the
character or a space if the space bar was struck.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just type ore edit eny text.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Cursor disappears some time after a letter is typed. That can be as little as 2
or 3 seconds, or as much as 20 seconds.
It re-appears when I type another letter or hit the space bar, it also shows the
letter the key for which is struck, or it enters a space into the text.
Expected Results:
The cursor should have remained visible all the time.
Do you mean you use a customized cursor, or do you mean the usual caret, marking
insertion point in an editor field?
(Btw, hitting the "Esc" key or perhaps the right-arrow key might be useful to
revoke it - whatever - , instead of typing actual characters/spaces)
This has been happening since 1.4 or 1.5. For me it is the regular default i-bar
shaped cursor, the blinking one. The one that marks where the next character
will go, or where the mouse or cursor keys have moved it for an insertion. Lots
of comments on this in the n.m.u. win92 newsgroup.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
