Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Foxfire 0.8 Somehow Foxfire doesn't account for user profiles properly. This is important if one is trying to install mozilla on an industrial scale (like the 900 computers specifically) If one creates a default profile template with Foxfire installed (c:\documents and settings\administrator), then copies this profile to the default profile(c:\documents and settings\default user), and then deletes the profile that was used to create the default profile(c:\documents and settings\administrator) when mozilla is started in the new profile it asks for a profile because the one it is pointing to is invalid. Mozilla should have some sort of relative path profile scheme so that it never asks questions like that. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.default profile template with Foxfire installed (c:\documents and settings\administrator) 2.copies this profile to the default profile(c:\documents and settings\default user) 3.delete the profile that was used to create the default profile(c:\documents and settings\administrator) 4.Create a new user and log in for the first time 5.Run Firefox. Actual Results: Got the screen prompting me to create a profile. I couldn't simply choose the default profile, becuase it didn't exist. Expected Results: 1.Created a new default profile automatically. 2.The product needs to be better integrated in the windows system so that it can be seamlessly deployed in the default user profile. This may not seem like a big deal, but as a system administrator I cannot deploy a product that will have 900 users calling me about it. I personally like Firefox and would like to enable all of my users to use it.
