We need a Firefox motto on the about dialog credits page. It currently reads
"Insert Motto Here!"

Bart, I thought you might have some insight here. If you can come up with a
motto that people like, I will create the patch.

At the moment, it's "The Browser, Reloaded."

Patch for the current "The Browser, Reloaded" motto

Personally, I like the current motton... as such, here's a patch.

Patch for the current "The Browser, Reloaded" motto

Not a big change at all, so setting for superreview to blake.

Patch for the current "The Browser, Reloaded" motto

Firefox development doesn't use superreview. Simple review is enough, so
tweaking the flags...

Patch for the current "The Browser, Reloaded" motto

This has been fixed on AVIARY_1_0_20040515_BRANCH, so it'll be okay in 0.9 and
1.0:

http://snurl.com/fx_motto

However, it still needs fixing on the trunk. The credits changes from that
checkin also need to be transferred as well. Luckily, neither is very
difficult.

I agree, though I'd like to add that hopefully the change can be accepted from
this patch I submitted. Only reason being is that, though someone has added the
motto, they seem to have kept the 4 " " tags before the motto, instead of
simply doing <span>motto</span>

The spaces were necessary with the "Insert Motto Here!" text in order to make it
line up with the end of the word Firefox. With the actual motto, the spaces make
the end of the text go past the right edge of "Firefox". If you remove the
spaces, as in the patch, all is well.

Trivial to the extreme... but a little nicer for aesthetics.

Hasn't "The Browser, Reloaded." become outmoded in recent months? The film title
that it was (awkwardly) paraphrased from has slipped from public consciousness,
and it just doesn't work any more. It doesn't turn up in any of the publicity
buttons on SpreadFirefox. The old reliable "Take back the Web" is much better.
Let's use the official tag line, "Rediscover The Web".

"Rediscover the Web"

Bart's last comment said "Rediscover The Web" (note caps on "The"). However,
the more logical capitalization (keeping "the" without caps) is used on the
Products Page:

http://www.mozilla.org/products/

I assume that the more logical capitalization is the one that's desired. If it
isn't, tweaking the patch is trivial.

if this goes in fine, but it needs to happen before the UI freeze on Oct 1.

"Rediscover the Web"

Bloody devil lack of reviewers for ueber-trivial fixes, UI freezes rigid,
set-in-stone, even for a minor fix or two that isn't consistent with the brand
image as a whole, can't make patch for trunk until credits.html is properly
localized, *grr*. Will do later after 1.0 release and subsequent remerge of
branch with trunk (should be more fun than a barrel of monkeys)...

"Rediscover the Web" --- take 2

This patch implements "Rediscover the Web". Bart, please tell me if you want
"the" capitalized and I can do it easily (or it can be done by just editing the
patch before the fix is checked into source.

Mike, this is a simple *one-line* fix in a DTD that's cluttering my assigned
bug list. Could you review it?

dare I ask but shouldn't it be all in lowercase? "rediscover the web" to match
the picture on the products page?

...or perhaps as on <http://www.mozilla.org/products/>, which was the way it was
committed? The capitalization's not entirely consistent, so I chose the one
that I think looks better in the situation.
