If you start Firefox first, and then Thinderbird, everything works fine.
if you close Firefox and open it again, it will say "Failed to send command."
and quit.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Thunderbird
2. Try to start Firefox from a terminal


Actual Results:  
Firefox says "Failed to send command." and quits

Expected Results:  
Start, because no other instance on firefox is running, only thunderbird
(checked with "ps auxw | grep firefox")

what version of Thunderbird are you using?  This should be fixed using current
versions of both.  Anything older than 0.4 will still exhibit this problem.

what commands are you using to start firefox again?  are you running the firefox
shell script that ships with firefox 0.8 or are you using some other script such
as the one used to launch firefox from thunderbird?  (see this page:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/thunderbird/linuxurls.html)

    Sorry, my bad...
I was using some other script (don't know where i got it from)
The idea was to open an URL in a new tab.
With standard script it starts with Thunderbird started.
