User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040330 Firefox/0.8.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.5+ (20040327) When you double click an attachment, a dialog box pops up. On it you have two options, one is "Open with" and the other is "Save to Disk". The Open with doesn't work. If no application program is binded to a specific file format, then you should be able to choose one by browsing. However it doesn't allow it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Double click on an attachment file whose file type is not known to the thunderbird. 2. Try "Open with" 3. Actual Results: Can't choose "browse" or something. Actually there is nothing on the list. Expected Results: You should be able to choose a program, or it should be prebinded.
This is bug 225574 Yes it's also a Firefox bug but I've been told they share the same code for this... and the dups for that bug bears it out. So with out any objections Status --> dup of bug 225574 Of course reopen if you have issues with it... reopen and dup it to bug 232220 :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 225574 ***
