I keep all my bookmarks in subfolders of the root bookmark folder; I'd like to
be able to display these subfolders in a toolbar (i.e. the Bookmarks Toolbar).
To this end I'd like to be able to set the root bookmark folder as the bookmark
toolbar folder.
Reproducible: Always

I don't think the root element is actually a folder, which might require
substantial rearchitecture of the bookmarks service to allow this. If you want
to have all of your folders on the bookmarks toolbar folder, just create a
folder and drag all of your bookmarks there.

Mike, in that case this bug should be marked as WONTFIX or?

yeah, this isn't worth the effort it would require to fix. Just create said
folder and put your bookmarks in there. That's not exactly requiring a
herculean effort. The "allow any folder to be added as a toolbar item" bug has
the potential to make this type of thing easier for users.
