Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040316

When manually scrolling with mouse wheel, since the bug for the IE auto scroll
feature hasn't been fixed in this version, after a few seconds up to probably 20
seconds of intermitent scrolling the main Mozilla window loses focus and
obviously continuous attempts to scroll leads to nothing happening until you
bring focus back to the Main mozilla window.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Manually scroll with mouse wheel
2.Main window loses focus after a non regular amount of time generally few-20
seconds

Actual Results:
the main window has lost focus and i have to bring focus back to window if I
would like to keep scrolling

Expected Results:
kept focus on main Mozilla window and allowed me to keep scrolling like normal

Michael:
well, this works for me with 1.7b and WinXP.
Are you sure you don't happen to be scrolling over plugin areas or iframes when
this happens? They are known to get the mousewheel focus. So does this happen on
all pages?

Hey thanks for the reply but yes this happens on every page whether or not its
in frames out of frames, regular text pages frames pages flash pages ALL! It
definitely could be just my computer i have a few diff bugs and voted for all
them but this isn't a huge deal but if it could be program wide and not
localized to my computer i would like it to be known. Thanks.

for completeness what type of mouse and what version of mouse drivers do you
have? Is mozilla the only program you see this in? Do you know which program
receives focus? Do you have any extentions and/or themes installed?

FYI, I belive Firefox includes "IE auto scroll" and also there is a project
callled Autoscroll which adds this feature to Mozilla @
http://autoscroll.mozdev.org/ (but it does not work right now).
