Hello --

I can view/subscribe to shared IMAP folder (doing this via IMAP over SSL, IMAPS).

When I subscribe to shared folder, it appears in folder picker in Tbird folder
pane under "shared folder" parent. BUT the specific folder I subscribed to
doesn't appear.

I checked this same typical use-case with Mozilla Mail/News 1.6 and all works as
expected.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open shared folder dialog
2. click checkbox next to shared folder you can to view
3. attempt to open subfolder of "shared folder" that appears under Tbird folder
pane.

Expected Results:
I expect to view contents of the darn folder to which I have subscribed.
note -- I've observed this problem for past months with Tbird -- current using
build 20040406 (yesterday).

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think you're supposed to share IMAP
folders. IMAP servers create a lock on the mbox files and maildirs in question
that belong to the user who accesses that particular file for each instance of a
mail client program that user is running. And that lock results in the IMAP
folder in question becoming read-only. If that happens you will get all sorts of
strange behaviours.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
