I have a large mail filter created where almost everyone {person}@email.host.com
is filtered into a folder named {person}.  It would be a nice feature for me to
be able to define a single rule that says:

If Sender matches this pattern: (.*)@email.host.com, move the mail to folder:
Archives/$1, creating Archives/$1 if it doesn't already exist.

If creating Archives/$1 is undesirable, just ignore that person and continue.

This would eliminate 90% of my rules and make managing them much easier.

This would probably be a good job for a javascript filter. Too bad they don't
seem to be supported any more (bug #11037).

sorry for the spam.  making bugzilla reflect reality as I'm not working on these bugs.  filter on FOOBARCHEESE to remove these in bulk.

Could you see if the FiltaQuilla extension on addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird doesn't have this?
