confirm flashing progress bar, most notable when sending large attachments. rapid flickering between incremental progress meter and "barber pole" is likely to cause even greater issues with epileptic users as reported in bug 133513. i am not epileptic but this rapid flickering is fairly obnoxious. note that both status bar in lower right corner of mail window and mail send progress popup display this flickering.

Indeed. It's also present in the lower right corner. I have Mozilla 1.8a (build ID 2004052009) at the moment, and it seems this bug is fixed. There may be an other reason for this bug tho... I'm using a different virusscanner at the moment. My virusscanner does not serve as a proxy anymore... Some questions: Do YOU have a virusscanner installed that serves as a proxy? What version of Mozilla do you use? What OS do you use? Greets Patrick
this is a dup of a confirmed bug.
