User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 It should be possible to export folders from the mail client to a separate storage file and be able to re-import them if they become necessary. The rationale behind this is that most people hardly look at messages after one year, but most would like to keep a record of having gotten that mail. Including this feature would allow us to remove all the useless messages from last year and still be able to retrieve them if we need to. Part of resoultion would also entail being able to "open the file" temporarily and be able to access it as a separate mail account. Then we should be able to close the file and have it return to its status as an old mail repository. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Try to export mail... 2. ... 3. Fail This could also be seen as closely related somewhat to bug 171828 which concerns the inability to import mail from a former install because by fixing this, in theory, we can also fix 171828.
