User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.5+ (20040407) When "Remember previous online state" is selected in the prefences, Thunderbird is offline the next time I startup Thunderbird (I am 100% sure I was online during the previous session). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to Tools - Preferences - Extensions 2. Select "Remember previous online state" 3. Click OK 4. Restart Thunderbird Actual Results: Thunderbird is offline. You'll see a "Send later" button instead of "Send" Expected Results: Thunderbird should be online ofcourse.
I made a li'l' error in the Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to Tools - Preferences - Extensions 2. Select "Remember previous online state" 3. Select Offline Support 4. Click Settings 5. Click OK 6. Restart Thunderbird
I tested this on TBird 0.5 (20040207) on WXP and it was remembering the on-line off-line state correctly. I have 2 IMAP and 2 POP3 accounts. Whether the IMAP server is really reachable (network-wise) doesn't matter, I tested both.
Are you still affected by this with Thunderbird 1.0? (also bug 240406 , bug 240407)
Not using the plugin anymore. Bug can be closed as far as I'm concerned.
OK - resolving WFM per comment 2.
