If you try to goto a website that either desnt exist or is under heavy load and
exceeds your time out limit firefox clears out the URL from the location bar.
While i can understand that leaving it in might confuse new web users as to
thinking that they are actually at the location and it is a white page. it
hinders the ability to navigate using tabs and copy and pasting multiple links
because you dont know what was supposed to be loading in that page when you get
back to it. And even if you do you have to grab the link all over again. For a
comprimise i would like to suggest leaving the url in the location bar,
presening the user with the timeout dialog and switching the favicon to a red
circle with a line through it (think no smoking or ghostbusters depending on
your world location :) ). If there is a reason not to leave the url i understand
completely, but i cant think of one other than this.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. goto no existent url
Actual Results:
removed url form location bar
Expected Results:
leave url in location bar
notify me it can be found
change favicon to a "no worka" icon
