sometimes Mozilla starts in "work offline" mode. My Mozilla is set to first open
Mail/News on startup for reading my IMAP email.

This has started happening every time I start up since upgrading to 1.6
(Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113). From the
help files, it appears that the desired behavior is for mozilla to remember the
last offline/online state at shutdown and resume this state on the next startup.
Regardless of what state I'm in when I exit, it always comes up offline. Thanks!

Same thing, sometimes on startup it is in off-line mode. I never use offline mode.
This is annoying.

I have seen exact same problem with 1.7 alpha, and now 1.7 release. Also I have
seen the mail part of Mozillla. This an anoying problem, when will this be
confirmed and fixed ? I have the PC version of Mozilla

I am using PCLOS 2008 GNOME and downloaded FF 3.0.6 (unable to download/install via Package Manager due to upgrade / update issues, until PCLOS 2009 ISO becomes available for download).  EVERY time FF 3.0.6 loads, it loads in [x] Work Offline mode, where whatever page(s) I have open will report "unable to load page while offline" and I have to go into File and untick Work Offline EVERY time I open FF up to go online!?  Is there some config file that I can edit to STOP this?  Thanks, QBall

OOPS...I forgot to add that FF doesn't seem to 'remember' last state; i.e. [ ] Work Offline is unticked.  Also, the cookies for my regularly visited sites seems not to work (i.e. I have to retype my username and password each time I go to, say, my email) <--- related to above problem?

In reply to comment #6 and #7: User Interface (Menus etc.) is based on different source files in Firefox than in SeaMonkey, please open a separate bug.

If this bug is seen on SeaMonkey on other than Windows, please change Platform to All.

If this bug is seen on _any_ SeaMonkey 2.0.14 or later (preferably 2.1 or later) please speak up or it will be resolved WORKSFORME.
