Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040419 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/2004041914 (modified by hand, see below) In Gnome Terminal, when I highly a url, and use "Open link," I get the "Select user profile" dialog, as if I had tried to open a second instance of Mozilla. The same thing happens when I give the openurl() or openfile() command from the command line. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. attempt to open url 2. 3. Actual Results: Get "select user profile". Expected Results: Open the URL. This bug is NOT found on the latest build of 1.8a, which I am using now (2004041908), but it IS found on the last TWO 1.7 builds, the latest of which was 2004041914. I'm reporting it because I'm afriad it will find its way into the final 1.7 build. I did find two other bugs that might be related, but I don't think so. They are 122498 and 171443. The reason I don't think they are related is that the current problem is a new one, and they are old bugs.
Related to bug #24867??

Or possibly bug #246168?
Mass resolving a bunch of old bugs in the x-remote component in preparation for archiving it. If this bug is still valid and useful, please move it to the "Toolkit: Startup and Profile System" component and reopen it.
