User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040417 Firefox/0.8.0+ (scragz) Build Identifier: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.6+ (20040417) The time zone in any mail I send is wrong. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Send any mail message. 2. Look at the message source in Sent, or at the date(/time) of the message on the recipient's PC. Actual Results: Time (zone) is UTC instead of CET, giving recipient the impression that the message is two hours older than it actually is. Expected Results: Insert the correct UTC offset. I have set the correct zone in Windows' date/time settings and I use XP SP1 (though it reads SP2 due to official patches). Perhaps has something to do with DST (like bug 173431)? I'm guessing this bug has already been filed, but I'm probably just lousy at searching. But anyway, help would be much appreciated.
Forgot to mention I posted this as a MailNews bug because I have the problem with both MailNews and Tb.
A friend of mine had the same problem and was able to fix it by removing the (user-defined) system environment variable TZ=CET, which I also use. I guess this bug should be assigned to someone else, but I'm not sure who so I'm not going to touch it.
