I filed bug 111271 some time ago and it's no longer as important to me now that fulltext searching has made the world a nicer place to live. What I would appreciate, though, is a simple checkbox (which always defaults to unchecked) that excludes the results of my previous search from the search about to be performed. There are many times where I read through my buglist and don't see my bug there so I go back and try another search. In most cases, this second search will be quite similar to the first search and return many of the same results. I've already read through those results and know they're not what I was looking for so I don't want to have to read through them again. Ideally (for me, but maybe not the rest of the world) this would be a checkbox on the "find a specific bug" interface with a label like "and exclude the results of my previous query". If it's decided that this isn't a common use, then I'd still be happy to see it added to the "advanced search" interface, probably in the "email and numbering" area near the include/exclude feature. The feature seems fairly easy to implement, just grabbing the BUGLIST cookie and adding an exclude parameter to the search.

Summary: add a "and exclude the results of my previous query" checkbox → add a "and exclude the results of my previous query" checkbox using BUGLIST cookie

Reassigning bugs that I'm not actively working on to the default component owner in order to try to make some sanity out of my personal buglist. This doesn't mean the bug isn't being dealt with, just that I'm not the one doing it. If you are dealing with this bug, please assign it to yourself.
