Eid, could you attach your calendar file? You could also try if adding events
works on a new calendar.
Which version of calendar did you use?
Are there errors in the javascript console?
Might bug 244393 be the cause? (Is o.s. set to an alphabetic short date format?)

Eid: Can you please install the newly available xpis for Mac from
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/download.html
and see it this problem is fixed now?
