User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8

Here's what I do.

1. Start up firefox as usual, no problems. My startpage is www.google.com
(though this problem occurs on other sites as well)
2. Enter a search-term in the text input field, whereas firefox locks up
completely for about 30-60 seconds.

This problem only occurs when I start up Firefox for the first time. It doesnt
occur when I open a new window and already has firefox started.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Startup Firefox
2. Enter some text into an input field
3. Watch it lock up

Actual Results:
Firefox locked up completely for 30-60 seconds, then went back to normal

Expected Results:
I would be happy if it wouldn't lock up every frigging time :)

This I have tried already:

Disabled "find as you type"
Disabled "save form information"
Cleared cache and form information.

Didn't help.

Reporter, is this still an issue for you?
