I often use profiles with different properties (Java/JavaScript/Cookies) and it
often happens, that all main bookmarks (not folders or bookmarks within folders)
are completly removed. My bookmarks then contains only folders and the bookmarks
within the folders, but all bookmarks created like <ctrl><d> are removed and
lost! This happened also in Mozilla 1.5. Sorry, but I can't give you more
detailed information. But thie is a very ugly bug because.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create another profile (say "Charly")
2. Switch to Charly's profile and change mozilla settings (about
cookies/Java/Javascript)
3. Create some bookmarks (some in a folder by <ctrl><shift><d>, some not in a
folder by <ctrl><d>)
4. Switch to prev.profile
5. Switch back to Charly
6. Check the bookmarks.
Actual Results:  
Often the bookmarks main bookmarks are removed, but the bookmarks within the
folder are still there!

Expected Results:  
All bookmarks should be there, not only the one within a folder.

I had this bug also in Mozilla 1.5! I' sure Mozilla v1.3 didn't had the problem.
But i'm not sure about v1.4 (sorry).

Have you seen this in a newer build.  1.5 is too old to report bugs against -
really you should try 1.7rc1

I actually use Mozilla 1.6.
I will check 1.7rc.
