User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030821 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030821 Dear Sirs: There seems to be a missing URI scheme in your browser. It is called "rtsp" for Real Time Streaming Protocol. You can see it by browsing to http://www.c-span.org and trying to play one of the videos. An error message something like The address type is unknown or unsupported rtsp://video.c-span.org/15days/e042704_nomination.rm pops up. Microsoft's browser understands rtsp but I have yet to find a linux broswer that does. Is there a way to teach your browser about this unknown scheme? The RealAudio player (version 8) understands it, so all that should be necessary is to pass the URI to the player. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.see above. 2. 3. Actual Results: see above. Expected Results: see above.
WFM on WinNT4. Do you have the Real Player plugin installed and registered in Mozilla?
Linux issue because there is no registry to ask what to do with an unkown protocol scheme *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 202715 ***
