It also worked with the previous major release of mozilla Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.follow any of the links above 2. 3. canconfirm if I had the status :-) not sure this is identical, but ff is not launching realplayer for this .smil file: http://www.npr.org/dmg/dmg.php?getProgramStream=true so either similar or I don't know how to connect .smil files to realplayer.... thanks

oops should have stated this was on os X this file opens fine for safari or ie5.2
installing latest version of realplayer resolves this issue. however ff should have some interface for editing associations imho also see #232220
