When you select text in the URL bar field and copy it, it is put into the Mac
system clipboard as styled text, e.g. with font family and size stored. I wish
that it was copied as plain text. I often copy an URL and then paste it into a
text document in another application (like TextEdit, M$ Word, FirstClass Client,
etc.), and it's always annoying the way that the text gets pasted with styled
font and size, pretty much always different than whatever was in use in the text
document that I was working on. The workaround is annoying, I have to go and
paste it into a plain text editor like BBEdit, then copy that, and then paste
that into the other app's document. I see no reason why anyone would ever want
the URL bar's text style preserved in the clipboard, so I think that this would
be a nice change to make.
This might seem very trivial, but really, it's something that gets in my way
several times a day, I genuinely find it quite a nuisance.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy text from the URL bar field.
2. Paste it into a TextEdit document.
Actual Results:
The text is pasted styled.
Expected Results:
I wish it was pasted without style info.
