User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8

This has been noticed on Windows 2000, on Firefox 0.8
Has been confirmed to happen for multiple people, though unsure of platforms.

See thread: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=519097

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a page with a textbox and an animated gif.
Actual Results:
Cursor/Carat Flickers

Expected Results:
Shouldn't flicker.

This bug is particularly relevant because the default phpBB install (and
probably other BB software) has animated smileys beside the textbox, for making
New Posts.

As such, it's very annoying, and could put off switchers.
