User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; MyIE2; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 0.6 (20040502) If you make a template which has inline style and/or background, the edit as new command create a new message which hasn't inherit inline style and/or background. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.create new template message with background (inline style : background:url ('bg.jpg')) 2. save as template 3. exit from thunderbird 4. Start thunderbird again. 5. Go to template and on message press right click. Choose Edit as New... command Actual Results: The new message has no background Expected Results: The new message have to be same like the template. Use style, inline style, background and the message. You have to exit from thunderbird, because the program memorize the inline style settings.
This appears to be a dupe; the dupe was fixed apparently as a result of bug 192557's patch. TB0.7 still has the bug, but current nightlies should show this fixed. As a workaround until then, you can specify the background using the 'background image' field in the Page Colors & Background dialog. > You have to exit from thunderbird, because the program memorize the inline > style settings. This part is explicitly bug 192557. see also bug 253222, bug 234354. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 147645 ***
