Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040502 Firefox/0.8
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040509 Firefox/0.8 (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2004-05-09-10-trunk/Firefox-win32.zip)
When I type the url in the address bar (by example budts.be/weblog and press
enter Firefox crashes). But my startpage (google.be) loads when I start FF.
I tried this nightly at school (Win2K) and there I didn't have any problem (also
not with budts.be/weblog)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start FF
2. type an url in the address bar
3. Press enter
Actual Results:
I got the usual 'application crashed'-dialog of WinXP
Expected Results:
show me to the webpage :-)

I tried it again with
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2004-05-10-09-trunk/Firefox-win32.zip
and it crashes every time I type an url in the address bar and press enter or
click the 'Go' button. I tried it with some more sites, including mozilla.org.
When I doubleclick the throbber it doesn't crash, but displays me the page it
should. When I manually enter that url
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/start/ it crashes.
Also when I use the Home button it works fine and displays my homepage, so IMHO
it really is a problem with the addressbar/enter/go-button

Have you tried using a clean profile? This works for me (and pretty much
everyone else).

Also, make sure that when you install a new build, you don't install it over
another build. You should delete the entire program directory before installing
a new build.

I did a clean install (using the .zip) and a clean profile and now it works.
(should have know, sorry!) (all my previous upgrades I did using the installer
and they worked fine, whithout having to create a new profile/clean install,
that's why I didn't think about using a clean install...)
