Emails in sent folder do not have attachments either. It's as if when sending Mozilla decides to remove attachment Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. new mail 2. attach file 3. send email Actual Results: email is sent ok, but attachment disappears Expected Results: sent email with attachment
wfm current cvs trunk build Reporter: Can you test this with a current build like 1.7b or 1.7rc1?
How do you know the attachment was not sent? Does the copy of the message in your Sent folder have the attachment? What mail client is your recipient using?
I have the same problem using 1.7 (today's download) -- in addition I get an error report that tells me it was unable to save to my sent-mail folder. Recipients either get no attachment or (occasionally on a Mac) get a garbled one. I have tried sending a file with attachment to myself (same error message, mail arrives but has no attachment). I tried to send a file with attachment via Mozilla and my web-based email client (proprietary to U of Washington) and when I clicked 'send' it crashed out of my email session but did not close the browser. I was able to successfully send it via Explorer (yuck), which suggests it is not a server issue.
