User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040314 Firefox/0.8.0+ Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 0.6 (20040502) I upgraded to 0.6 last week and ever since Thunderbird has ignored my preference to have it only check my account every 60 minutes. I have several accounts, one of which gets a lot of mail from mailing lists, so it's guaranteed that if Thunderbird checks it, it's going to find new mail. Since this new install the "New Mail" icon virtually never goes away because it's always checking for new mail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
then turn off imap idle support tools / account settings / server / advanced / use idle support
