Yes, I was using Orbit 3+1 theme, and yes, I got the same outcome from
washingtonpost.com. I changed my theme to Apollo, and the problem disappeared.
Clearly, the nature of the flash/animation contained in these pages is causing
Orbit 3+1 theme to enter an infinite loop.
Thanks for your help.
