User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8
Build Identifier: Thunderbird 0.6
After re-opening TBird, some IMAP folders do not have a total number of mails
listed. When clicking these folders, TBird retrieves the mail headers from the
IMAP server, just as if that would be the first time it would retrieve headers
of that folder.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Close TBird.
2. Re-open it.
3. Click on an IMAP folder that shows a total number of 'nothing'.
Actual Results:
TBird retrieved the mail headers for the folders once again.
Expected Results:
It should only retrieve new mail headers.

Just to confirm this behavior - 0.5 did not have this problem.
Our business makes extensive use of shared IMAP folders (Cyrus IMAPD) and in
0.7.x, after closing and re-opening Thunderbird, the mailbox is 'brand new' in
the sense that there are no stored headers, and the entire mailbox must be re-
indexed. On large mailboxes (even with a very fast Xeon mail server), this can
take 20+ seconds.

This is on a local network too - just takes a while to download 5000+ headers.
This problem is a show-stopper for us, and we must continue to use 0.5 as a
result.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
