It is the "add topic" button of the Word Pro "How do I" discussion area. The form pops up to add the topic and freezes. My CPU usage then jumps to 100% You will need to sign up for an account at http://www.xpertss.com to test this. They are safe. They are a very nice tech support form for Lotus' Smart Suite. And, I have used their services for years without a problem. Posted a lot with the combined Mozilla as well. Please forgive me for posting this a "Critical" but the defination does say "Crashes or hangs". I was able to make my post with that "other" broswer. :'( Many thanks, --Tony Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Well, I managed to post a new topic without problems, using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040523 Firefox/0.8.0+ Did you try it with a new, clean profile and without any extensions installed?
Hi All, I erase my old Firefox directory and reinstalled. Firefox would not open but did show in my processes tab at 12 meg of memory. My memory usage would climb and climb, until w2k whined about my virtual memory being too low. So I erased it all again and reinstalled the general release. The web site in question is now working fine. I am presuming that there is something in my profile that the nightly's don't like. --Tony
