User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040517 Camino/0.8b Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040517 Camino/0.8b Default browser (Mozilla Camino) has no problems with site if it can get in (user agent spoof), but initial "browser validation" check at site prevents normal entry. Webmaster(s) contacted numerous times, problem not corrected. This is a public (city government run) site supporting public utility customer support and billing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Attempt to enter site using Mozilla Camino or Mozilla Firebird 2. Entry blocked by site's browser validation function. Actual Results: Site blocks entry if browser does not ID as MSIE 5.5+ or Netscape 6.2+ - possibly some other browsers. Expected Results: Site should have allowed entry of current Mozilla Gekko browsers. Spoofing of the browser's User Agent information will allow the browser to bypass the site's check function and browser works fine with all tested aspects of site.

The site seems to work now with Camino-trunk. Fixed?
Site owner agreed that site should not demand MSIE, etc. and corrected problems preventing Camino from working. Works fine now Tom Losh
