Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.0.3705; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 applies to rv 1.4 and rv 1.6
To verify that webdings are not being render select the "Portable" menu item
which then renders a sub-menu, and the "New" menuitem in this menu should have
a webding displayed as a right arrow (indicating another nested sub-menu).
This works properly in rv 1.0.1 (Mozilla) as well as Internet Explorer.
Other sample webpages illustrating the lack of webdings being rendered are:
http://www.webhostingwit.com/webdings_codes.html
http://awcfamily.com/awc/fontcss.php
http://www.alanwood.net/demos/wingdings.html
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.If using the additional samples then Navigate to any of the samples cited in
the details and visually verify that the webdings are not being displayed as
expected
2.If using the primary sample at casew.com, then select the "Portable sub-
menu" using your mouse, or by pressing "Alt-P" with your keyboard.
3.Visually verify that the right arrow (a webding) next to the "New" submenu
is not being rendered correctly (as an arrow). This was not an error with rv
1.0.1.
Actual Results:
Webdings are not displayed as expected (as they were in rv 1.0.1)
Expected Results:
Webdings are displayed as expected (as a webding and not an ascii or standard
text character)
