User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 I receive these emails from Mercedes Benz with a link to a web page presenting the news. On Internet Explorer this works, as well as on Mozilla 1.6. But on Firebird/Firefox 0.8 I see only Error 500: and the URL changes to: http://www.mbusa.com/MBServlet/RedirectServlet?src=494&target=C_OVERVIEW Their webmaster cannot guess what the reason might be. Seems to be some servlet problem? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Cut and paste the URl which I gave 2. 3. Actual Results: Message Error 500: on an empty page. Expected Results: Advance to URL: http://www.mbusa.com/brand/container.jsp?/models/class_overview.jsp&modelCode=c_class_main and browse... Once I retrieve this URL using Internet Explorer I can cut-and-paste it to Firefox and browse without a problem. Seemingly only the primary access is a problem.
Am seeing this with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a) Gecko/20040518. --> Browser

I get the same thing with other browsers too... It looks like their browser-sniffer has no idea what browser we are and throws an error. Over to evang. Reporter, you may want to contact the site and politely ask them to fix their code...

I will try (again...) Since its work on Internet Explorer just fine, they replied to me that they do not know what the problem is and that they believe its a broken browser. :-)
I get the same error.. Some of the websites whn opened in ie shows error 500.. however firefox displays it as an empty page...
the error occurs in this version Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0
