(Whiteboard: File separate bugs for anything else.)

For the launch of the Mozilla Update site, all the updated and compatible
extensions for Thunderbird 0.6/0.7 (whichever is current at the time of launch)
need to be listed, this is a tracking bug for keeping up with what extensions
and themes have been updated to be compatible with Thunderbird 0.7.

Extension and Theme Developers are invited to comment on this bug with info
about updated extensions and themes that work with Thunderbird 0.7.

When you comment to inform me of a Thunderbird 0.7 compatible extension/theme,
please provide the following:
Author Name / E-Mail where you can be reached (for your Mozilla Update account)
If there's more than one author/e-mail, you can include more than one.
Extension's name /Version
Description
Homepage URL
URL to the updated XPI
For Extensions that include compiled code, what OS it's intended for. (MacOSX,
Linux, Windows, etc)
Target Application Versions (from the extension install manifest)
Let me explain that last one, since it's a bit confusing and new, the
Firefox install.rdf manifest requires a Minimum Version and Maximum Version your
extension works with, all extensions being submitted for Thunderbird 0.7 should
have a
Max Version of 0.7, the Minimum Version is whatever the lowest version your
extension works with. They can be the same. Also, if you're XPI works with
Mozilla Suite or Mozilla Firefox in addition to Thunderbird, specify that, along
with the Minimum/Maximum version for that application.

Most of the above was copied from Bug 244381 which is for Firefox 0.9
extensions/themes.
When will the GUID of Thunderbird be announced? As of today, it's not on Ben's

Thunderbird's GUID is...
{3550f703-e582-4d05-9a08-453d09bdfdc6}

which can be found in this file.
http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/mail/app/profile/thunderbird.js
Actually, the GUID is not listed in that file you pointed to.

Hey alanjstr, sorry but I had 4 extensions in comment #6 but only the first was
added to update.mozilla.org. Can you add the other 3 too? Thanks.

Show SMTP Username 0.2.1, No New Window on Double Click 0.1.0, and Delete Junk
Context Menu 0.3.1 have not been added because the install.rdf maxAppVer is 1.5
instead of 0.7.. Please fix this and they can be added to Update promptly.
Thanks. :-)
A lot of people have problems in installing Enigmail, mainly because there are
two parts to be installed. Instead of offering the XPI directly from
updates.mozilla.org, could you just point to
http://enigmail.mozdev.org/download.html ?

In addition, Enigmail is also available for the Mozilla Suite.

Thanks
-Patrick
Hey Wolf, I updated all 4 extensions to maxversion 0.7+. I tested them all with
the 20040617 0.7+ build and they are still good so I think it's fair (instead of
just 0.7)
Also, can you change the description of my Buttons! extension to this? If it's
too long, can you just add the second description? Thanks!
-----------
Adds buttons to Thunderbird which can be added to the toolbars.

Main window

    * Next! and Previous! buttons for navigating through all messages instead of
just unread ones.
    * Select SMTP! button that opens the Advanced SMTP Settings window so that
you can select/edit/add SMTP servers.
o There is a dropdown arrow on the side of the button that opens a
menu where you can select the default SMTP server.
    * Delete Junk! button that deletes mail marked as junk in the currently
loaded folder.
    * HTML! button that toggles between viewing of messages as HTML and plain text.
    * Images! button that toggles on and off the loading of remote images in
messages.

Message window

    * Next! and Previous! buttons
    * Reply!, Reply All!, and Forward! buttons that do the appropriate action
but also closes the currently open message window.
    * Delete! button that deletes the current message and closes the message window.
    * HTML! button
    * Images! button

Compose window

    * Select SMTP! button
-----------
Adds buttons to the Thunderbird toolbars such as Next! and Previous! buttons for
navigating through all messages instead of just unread ones. See homepage for
more information.
Updated my Buttons! extension to version 0.4.8. Is this where we post our
updates or is there an email address to send the information to?
>>Updated my Buttons! extension to version 0.4.8.

Jason. Have your install.rdf files been updated to reflect max version as 0.7+?
If so, could you re-post the URLs and Descriptions you would like for the
extensions (if you would prefer other decs than what you have in the install.rdf
file). And I will add them.

Cheers
-Jed

I have updated Enigmail to v0.84.2 (to work with Thunderbird 0.7.1).
XPI URL: http://downloads.mozdev.org/enigmail/enigmail-latest.xpi
(In reply to comment #16)
Hey Jed, yes, in comment 13 I meant to say that I updated all install.rdf files
to maxVersion 0.7+

Regarding a link to the XPIs: On my website, I keep all latest versions under
extensionname.xpi (ie. buttons.xpi) and also each version has its own XPI file
(ie. buttons_0_4_8.xpi). I'm not sure which should be posted to u.m.o. I'll
just post a link to both. I'd prefer the ones with the version in them so that
people know which version they download but if the one without a version is
preferred by mods, then those are available too.

Wolf, Thanks for taking care of those, you beat me to them.
Is there a way I can get on a list that notifies me everytime a new update.m.o
bug for Thunderbird or Firefox is submited, so I can help handle them?
Or possible a URL if not.
thanks
jedsbugs {at} gmail (dot) com would be the address.
