the offline use of mozilla news seems to be brokens since the 20040521 or
20040524 build.
basically here is how my configuration looks:
1. all groups are set to be downloaded for offline use.
2. all news-servers are set to Keep: All messages + Only message bodies less
then 90 days.
after dowloading a group for offline use i closed mozilla (no crash).
then when starting up again, there are no messages at all in the group. index is
to be downloaded, offline cache has to be downloaded again.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. see above.

if this was around 5/24, I bet this is another duplicate of a regression I caused.
see bug #244217
can you try a 5/25 build or later?
if so, please mark it a dup.
today 20040530 0757 CET (= central european time) for linux, 20040524 is the
latest build found at ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla/nightly/latest/

leaf, can you look into why the last linux build is 5/24 (where win32 has more
recent ones?) thank you!
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040525
seems to be working
