User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040524 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040524 in Edit -> Mail and newsgroup account settings. select a newsserver and then Offline and Disk space. the option: Keep: only message bodies less then 90 days old, seems to be broken in the 20040524 build. even when this is selected i see messages that are older then 90 days. i have the following set in the Offline & Disk Space: To seave diskspace .......: 0 = Read Messages 0 = Messages larger then ... kB 0 = Messages more then ... days old. Keep: X = All messages 0 = The newest ... messages 0 = Messages which have arrived .... 0 = Only unread messages. X = Only message bodies less then 90 days old. 0 = not selected X = selected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.
if this was around 5/24, I bet this is another duplicate of a regression I caused. see bug #244217 can you try a 5/25 build or later? if so, please mark it a dup.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a2) Gecko/20040525 still downloads headers and message bodies for messages older then 90 days Gecko/20040525 is the latest linux-release when this message is written, even though it was uploaded to ftp.mozilla.org later.
problem still in: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8a3) Gecko/20040906

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. The latest beta releases can be obtained from: Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/ Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/releases/1.5beta1.html Seamonkey: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/
this is till a problem in both mozilla 1.7.12 and seamonkey 1.0a. it might be it works correctly in thunderbird but it would be good to have a fix in mozilla and seamonkey.
sorry for the spam. making bugzilla reflect reality as I'm not working on these bugs. filter on FOOBARCHEESE to remove these in bulk.

Still a problem in builds that are much more recent (i.e., Thunderbird 2.0.0.* or Trunk TB)? If no answer within 3 weeks, I will RESO INCO.
